Experience Design
With an Agile, user-centric approach
You can build the best software in the world, but if it’s a chore to use you’ve already lost. That’s why we put a great deal of emphasis on experience design in the Rumble Laboratory.
By crafting products that are simple and delightful for people to use you create a welcoming environment which they will can't wait to revisit. Here's a bit about how a functional yet aesthetically pleasing end product can be delivered for our clients.
Defining your project
The first step is to understand. By understanding a project a tailor made solution can be developed ensuring the best possible experience to help it succeed for you and your user base.
Through discussing and then analysing your requirements a detailed project plan can be created outlining it’s premise, specification, architecture and features. This information will help us craft a focused experience, specific to your applications needs.

Understanding your users
One of the greatest mistakes any app owner can make is to create a product around solely their needs without considering what the people who are going to use it will think.
If user research and usability testing is conducted up front you can make informed decisions, giving your app a greater chance of pleasing its user base. At the same time it’s impossible to know everything your users need from the beginning, that’s why we work in an agile way - Launch quickly, listen to feedback and iterate to improve.
Develop a design strategy
Once your project is clearly defined and you've a firm understanding of your users requirements a design strategy document is created.
A solid design strategy can greatly reduce the time & effort needed to roll out an appSimon Hamilton, Managing Director
The document provides a series of guidelines for the development team and project owners to work from , a source of reference which helps everyone stay on the same page. This helps ensure the projects outcome is cohesive and successful.
Specifically it outlines design rules (in structure and visuals) and content requirements before work should be commenced.
Prototyping
With real content in place the apps user flows and interfaces can now be planned out. This part of the process should be fast paced sketching out ideas which quickly become wireframe prototypes. These are iterated upon to achieve the optimal structure to fit the content and user requirements.
Ideally every project should be developed responsively. This means NOT designing for a specific device such as an iPhone or Desktop PC but rather considering how the content will be viewed and interacted with on any device at any size. By doing this a tailored user experience can be crafted that works for everyone.
Considered visuals
Only after a strong base has been developed should 'the design layer' be considered. This is an important phase which should be focused on improving the experience. and maximising user engagement It's also important to represent the products brand in a meaningful appropriate way however this should never lead to any compromising on functionality and usability.
Creative Partners
One of the things we pride ourselves on in the Rumble Laboratory is our creativity. We’re always trying to find better ways to enrich our functional and aesthetic output.
When you work with Rumble you aren't hiring a team of 'yes men' willing to create exactly what they are told to. Instead you will gain experienced and passionate partners who want to work with you to create well design solutions for you and your customers problems.
